My days are numbered
As everyone else's is.
I'm still fighting strong,
A knight to claim victory his.
I don't need sympathy or comfort,
Or barrages of stone.
Now that the battle that I fight,
Is mine and mine alone.
I have no reason to share,
As sharing spurs pain.
My worries now cast behind,
My sorrows slain.
I do not care if i get lost in myself,
Or keep alone, safe from afflfictions,
All I know, is that I'll change what I can
About myself, and not for false affections.
I do not believe in fate,
Or the assurance that precedes it.
All I believe in,
Is to do what I deem fit.
I do not believe I cannot do,
What others before my time have done.
I know I will do it,
When my doubts number none.
I must tell myself, that in all my present doing,
I will reap the harvest that comes by,
Then I will carry my rewards in a tiny sack,
And head to where my dreams lie.
